• Freshman, sophomore, and junior parents are asked to 'pay it forward' and come out as chaperones, chefs, and casino workers, during the event. You are guaranteed to have fun, meet new people, and get a glimpse into an important event that your own 9th, 10th, or 11th grade student will also experience in a few, short years.
• Pay It Forward Day is a global initiative that exists to make a difference by creating a huge ripple of kindness felt across the world. Of course, our hope is that people pay kindness forward every day and make each day that little bit brighter.

Roberts Event Group teamed up with a major car manufacturer to create a Casino Night Team Building event for their sales associates at the Philadelphia Marriott Downtown. Employees played Blackjack, Roulette, and Craps in hopes to win as many “bucks” as they could. Some great raffle prizes were won and those who did not play were able to relax and enjoy a buffet-style dinner and drinks. Barbara Hensley presented information about Hope Chest. Their purpose is to provide the quickest access to help with the most urgent emergency needs of local breast cancer patients. They place a priority onkeeping families intact in their current living situation…in their home, with that home warm and the lights on; helping them get to treatment by paying for childcare and transportation; helping them heal by providing access to nutritious meals for them and their families.
Things to remember/ways you can make a difference:
1) Hope Chest Fillies Race for Hope is Sunday, August 14 at Canterbury Park (ways to help: donate silent auction items; volunteer; summer outing for staff, clients, family); VIP Pink tables)

o Donate high end furniture, decorative accessories and designer women’s clothing

o When you hear of someone moving or downsizing: recommend Hope Chest as a place to donate mint condition items (we pick up large items; you can drop off smaller items directly at the stores

o Shop or volunteer at the stores

Michelle Morey presented information about Pay It Forward.
Pay It Forward Fund was founded in 2005 by a breast cancer survivor. Since then, they have helped patients buy groceries, pay their mortgages, heat their homes, keep their lights and their water on, and repair their cars so they can drive to chemo. For hundreds of women in need, these gifts have made a difference at a time of crisis. Pay It Forward Fund is a partner of the Ridgeview Foundation.
