Main Event time now and even though this wasn’t a barnstormer it did see the return of The Big Show to WWE television for the first time in two years. I’ve always had a soft spot for Paul Donald Wight II and unlike a section of fans, I never once thought he should retire just because a bunch of idiots decided that it was time for him to do so.
- Raw last night set its all-time record low with both 1.53 million average viewers and a 0.41 rating in 18-49. For the first time ever, not only did last week's AEW Dynamite beat an hour of Raw, but it beat all three hours in 18-49 and 18-34.
- The two former champions battled for a slot on the Raw Survivor Series team. Hardy was off to a great start until he jumped off the top rope and was caught like a baby by Styles’s new bodyguard.
Monday’s Raw drew an average of 1,686,000 viewers on USA Network, down from last week’s 1,822,000 viewers.
Raw was #6, #7 and #8 on cable for the day with a 0.52 average rating in the 18-49 demographic, down from last week’s 0.55.
It was going up against two NFL games in its time slot. The Patriots vs. Chiefs game on CBS drew 14,602,000 viewers, while the Falcons vs. Packers game on ESPN drew 8,652,000 viewers.

This time last year, the October 7, 2019 Raw drew 2,334,000 viewers. The October 8, 2018 Raw drew 2,374,000 viewers.
